• Appearance: Transluscent, pale gold coloured liquor.  
• Aroma:  Buttery, umami, nutty aroma combined with a subtle hint of floral and marine notes. 
• Flavour: Sweet, vegetal, buttery, nutty (chestnut) flavour with delicate floral and cooked vegetal (petit pois) notes. 
• Mouthfeel: Gentle, smooth, velvety liquor with a refreshing pine note in the finish. 

Brewing Guidance

• Measure 1g of tea per 100ml water. Boil water to 65℃. Steep for 2-3 minutes.

Sejak Spring Dew Boseong is a gentle spring green tea from South Korea, made from early spring harvest of organically grown tea leaves of Yabukita cultivar grown in Boseong. 

In South Korea, there are three main tea producing regions - Boseong, Hadong and Jeju Island. While tea gardens located in Jeju Island mostly produce industrialised, mechanised green teas, small scale tea gardens around Hadong and Boseong area continue to produce top quality, traditional, hand-made green and black teas from wild tea bushes naturally grown in the region. While you may often encounter Korean green teas from Jeju Island abroad, top quality, authentic, wild bush Sejak green tea from Hadong and Boseong is not easily available in the markets outside South Korea due to limited production. Korean green tea is graded according to the date of harvest and the maturity of buds and leaves: Woojeon/Ujeon (First Pluck), Sejak (Second Pluck), Joongjak/Jungjak (Third Pluck) and Daejak (Fourth Pluck). Each grade comes up with their unique flavour and Sejak green tea, traditionally made from one tender bud and two newly opened leaves of late April, is known for its delicate, subtle nutty sweetness. Although Sejak green tea is the next best grade of Korean green teas, many tea connoisseurs in South Korea often prefer Sejak to Woojeon, as the flavour of Woojeon is highly delicate and the aftertaste is often short on the palate.
