Sencha Fukamushi

Tips for Tea Connoisseurs

Sencha Fukamushi is a long, deep steamed Sencha green tea, which is very popular nowadays in Japan as daily Sencha. Originating from Uji, where many celebrated and award-winning Japanese tea gardens are located and reputed to produce the best green teas throughout the whole Japanese archipelago, our Sencha Fukamushi is a classic example of savoury, easy-drinking Sencha Fukamushi green tea.

Made from Ichibancha, the first harvest of carefully grown tea leaves of Yabukita cultivar grown on the picturesque hills of Uji, our Sencha Fukamushi offers a mesmerising, bright green coloured infusion with a pronounced toasty, vegetal and grassy flavours. From the second brew, there is more presence of grassy note in the liquor which enhances the refreshing mouthfeel.

If your palate tends to prefer green tea with a nutty, toasty profile, you will enjoy Sencha Fukamushi more than our other Sencha - Sencha Asamushi, which offers a more intense umami, creamy, vegetal flavoured infusion. For green tea lovers and tea connoisseurs, we highly recommend trying both of them to taste the difference.

A perfect choice of refreshing daily Japanese green tea that will enhance your vitality and energy.

As with all green tea, Sencha Fukamushi is rich in antioxidants and known for its potential health benefits such as promoting heart health, cancer prevention, boosting the immune system and lowering down blood pressure.
