Our chinese gongfu teapots are handmade by Mr. Zhang Yunzeng, a respected potter and tea master who has been awarded as an inheritor of intangible cultural Heritage from his province, Henan. Mr. Zhang’s teapots and tea cups are hand-crafted using flambé glaze and ash glaze technique and each piece is unique. We carefully curated this collection for tea experts and art collectors.

Chinese clay teapots are used in the traditional method of brewing tea, called Gong-Fu Cha, which is literally translated into “tea with great skills”. The size, the type of the clay used and firing temperature are all important in choosing the right teapot. Clay Teapots are known to be the best for brewing delicious tea because of its porosity and the capacity to keep the hot temperature.
