Minami Sayaka Oolong Bio is a highly rare tea, newly found treasure from our sourcing trip to Japan in 2025. Made from truly rare and exceptional, Minami Sayaka tea cultivar, this delicately crafted first flush, lightly oxidised, oolong from a JAS certified organic tea garden located on the mountainous region of Miyazaki, Japan, will impress any oolong lovers, not to mention, lovers of top quality Taiwanese Baozhong oolong. This graceful, jade oolong features sweet, gentle, comforting, milky, creamy notes and a pleasing aromatic floral bouquet. Enjoy the flavor and aroma of this fresh, delicious tea. This exceptional oolong tea is also packed with antioxidants, making it an excellent choice to keep up with your daily health and wellness. Tasting Notes

• Appearance: Transluscent, clear golden coloured infusion.
• Aroma: Sweet, floral, milky, creamy notes.
• Flavour: Sweet, floral, milky, creamy with subtle, lightly grassy notes. 
• Mouthfeel: Smooth, rounded, velvety liquor with lingering sweetness.

Brewing Guidance

• Measure 1g of tea per 100ml water. Boil water to 90℃. Steep for 4-5  minutes.

All You Need to Know about Minami Sayaka Oolong Bio

Minamisayaka (みなみさやか,南爽 ), meaning “southern freshness”, this rare tea cultivar is known for its exceptionally sweet and refreshing, milky, floral aroma. It is a slightly late budding cultivar, developed by crossing  Miya A-6 (宮A-6) and NN27 in 1970 by the Miyazaki Agricultural Research Institute.

Made from carefully grown tea leaves of the rare and highly aromatic, Minami Sayaka cultivar, our Minami Sayaka Oolong Bio makes a perfectly delicious and delightful, jade oolong that offers a sweet, milky infusion with delicate floral and fresh vegetal notes.
