Tips for Tea Connoisseurs
Jasmine Oolong is a fragrant blend of carefully crafted Four Seasons Spring oolong tea (aka. Si Ji Chun) with fresh jasmine blossoms.
Coming from Nantou County, a major tea growing region in Taiwan, home to many celebrated oolong teas and black teas, our Jasmine Oolong is made from Si Ji Chun cultivar tea leaves and jasmine blossoms naturally grown in an MOA certified biological tea garden without pesticides and chemical fertilisers.
In comparison to common jasmine teas which use green tea as a base and offer a refreshing liquor with opulent jasmine note and sharp sweetness, this Jasmine Oolong offers a smoother, mellower and more rounded liquor due to the subtle floral and milky character of Si Ji Chun oolong tea. While the honeyed, jasmine floral note harmoniously mingles with the natural gardenia note of Si Ji Chun cultivar, the mild milky and baked flavour at the background brings more comforting and soothing character to this balanced tea.
For jasmine tea enthusiasts, we suggest trying Jasmine Oolong with our other varieties of jasmine teas - Jasmine Phoenix Pearls, Jasmine Silver Needle and Wild Jasmine Green Tea - to taste the differences.
Naturally grown without pesticide and chemical fertiliser. Coming from a certified MOA organic tea garden.
As with all the teas, oolong tea also offers us health benefits to increase our sense of well-being. Several studies indicate that oolong tea is a rich source of antioxidant polyphenols and it may well be just as beneficial as green tea to promote weight loss and cardiovascular health by reducing high blood pressure and cholesterol.
