As known as Chashaku in Japanese, this bamboo matcha scoop is used in the traditional Japanese matcha tea ceremony instead of a conventional tea spoon.  This helps measure the correct amount of matcha powder. Chashaku is used with a bamboo matcha whisk (called chasen) and a matcha bowl (called chawan) in the japanese tea ceremony.
