Type: GREEN TEA

Dragon Well (aka. Long Jing) green tea is certainly one of the most famous Chinese green teas with its unique, distinctive flat, jade-green leaf appearance. Traditionally made, authentic Long Jing green tea should offer a distinctive, sweet nutty flavours reminiscent of grilled chestnut. As China's most famous green tea, Dragon Well can be found in Chinese mythology and poetry and the tea has enjoyed its prestige as the choice of emperors and special dignitaries.

Our Dragon Well (Long Jing) Bio, hails from a EU/USDA certified organic tea garden in southern Zheijiang Province. Made from gentle spring tea buds and leaves which are harvested in early April, this delicious, sweet, nutty Dragon Well is a quintessential example of how classic Dragon Well green tea should taste.

This pristine, organic tea garden is located on high mountains 800m above sea level, which provides a unique, ideal environment and weather conditions for cultivating fine tea. The garden is often covered with fog and mist (high level of air moisture saturation) and the tea plants are exposed to the ideal amount of sun shine but still protected from harsh high summer temperature and dry winter wind.

As pre-Qing Ming Long Jing from nearby villages around West Lake in Hangzhou demands an exorbitant price tag and there are too many counterfeits in the market, we offer two sorts of Dragon Well in our tea selection - the real, authentic, Shi Feng Long Jing from Shi Feng mountain around the West Lake and this certified organic Dragon Well from a certified EU/USDA organic tea garden in Zhejiang Province. While Shi Feng Long Jing offers more delicate, finer, toasty, nutty floral notes, this organically grown, Dragon Well from Zheijiang province is also delicious, with pronounced chestnut, orchid floral notes with a delicate fruity hint, not to mention the great quality/price ratio.

If you are a lover of long jing green tea, try once this delicious, organic Long Jing. You will be rejoiced with the essential flavour of a well-made, traditional Long Jing tea, with a distinctive sweet nutty, toasty, chestnut and hazelnut flavour, yet very pure taste, which shows its quality made from early spring harvest.

As a natural source of antioxidant such as Catechin and Vitamin C, our Dragon Well green tea will not only satisfy your palate, but will also help nourish your body and mind as well.
