RECIPE FOR BARISTAS - Iced Ube Matcha Latte

Looking for a bold, colorful, and plant-based drink? Discover our Ube Matcha Latte, a unique creation that combines the umami of Japanese matcha with the sweetness of ube. The whole thing is enhanced by a homemade syrup infused with Phoenix Honey Orchid oolong tea, for an unprecedented aromatic depth.

This tricolor latte is not only delicious, but also spectacular when served layered in a clear glass. Ideal for surprising your clients at the café, tea room, or even at culinary events.


Iced Ube Matcha Latte

Ingredients:

  • Two table spoon of tea syrop
  • One table spoon of Ube Powder+ 90 ml water
  • 1/2 tea spoon of matcha + 90 ml water
  • 90 ml of oat milk barista edition 
  • Ice cubs 

Instructions:

  • Mix with the ube powder with water,
  • Add the tea syrop
  • Pour slowly the milk so it makes a layer 
  • Whisk the matcha with the water and add the top layer of matcha
  • Add the ice cubes on top 

Serving tip: Serve immediately without stirring for a visually striking result. Offer the customer the option of stirring themselves.

Preparing the syrup (in bulk)

Homemade Tea syrup (approx. 1L)

Instructions:

  • Heat and boil all the ingredients for 10 minutes.
  • Strain through a fine sieve or cheesecloth.
  • Cool and store in a cool place (1-2 weeks).
