• Mouthfeel: Creamy, full-bodied liquor silky mouthfeel. 

Brewing Guidance

• Measure 1g of tea per 100ml water. Boil water to 60℃. Steep for 2-3  minutes.

Golden Treasure Shiracha, also known as "White Sencha" or "Golden Sencha" is an extremely, rare and highly praised Japanese green tea among Japanese tea connoisseurs for its deep, rich, umami and elegant flavours. The tea field of Hoshino Midori cultivar creates an amazing scenery, one of its kind, as Hoshino Midori leaves are naturally white when new shoots and tea leaves come out - voila, this tea gets its name "White Sencha" from its naturally white coloured tea leaves. When they're exposed to the sun, tea leaves gradually turn into green, due to the process of photosynthesis. Therefore tea leaves are kept shaded to keep its unique white coloured tea leaves and this shading process increases L-theanine in tea and strengthens the deep, rich, umami flavour of this highly special and rare, top Japanese green tea.

Masterfully crafted into a beautiful, golden, yellow green leaves, our Golden Treasure Shiracha offers a powerful, deep, rich, umami infusion with silky and creamy mouthfeel. You will be surprised that the tea yields consistently delicious, rich umami flavour when infused 4 - 5th times with Kyushu teapot, given that Japanese sencha loses its flavour quite quickly after second infusion.
