Osmanthus Baozhong Loose Oolong Tea

Tips for Tea Connoisseurs

Osmanthus Baozhong is a fragrant blend of Baozhong oolong tea leaves with osmanthus flowers. Baozhong is a lightly oxidised oolong tea from Northern Taiwan, known for its rich, creamy, floral character. Although osmanthus blossoms can be used for scenting black, green, oolong, white and even pu-erh teas, the most common bases are green teas and lightly oxidised jade oolong teas, as green and delicate floral characters blend better with the sweet, fruity fragrance of osmanthus blossoms.

Our Osmanthus Baozhong Oolong Tea comes from Nangang, a village situated in the northern Taiwan. Nangang is Baozhong oolong tea's original Taiwanese capital in the 19th century when Baozhong teas were scented with jasmine blossoms by then and exported to the Chinese market.

Our Osmanthus Baozhong, masterly crafted by the 3rd generation Tea Master, Mr. Yu, who has won several awards for his Baozhong oolong teas, offers a fragrant and graceful liquor which harmoniously combines the sweet, fragrant Osmanthus flower notes with fruity flavour (quince and apricot) on a mild creamy, milky background.

Our Osmanthus Baozhong Oolong, with its highly uplifting and joyful character, will be a perfect daily companion as a natural mood enhancer as well as a source of antioxidants that could help boosting the immune system and promoting skin health.

Naturally grown without pesticide and chemical fertiliser.

As with all the teas, oolong tea also offers us health benefits to increase our sense of well-being. Several studies indicate that oolong tea is a rich source of antioxidant polyphenols and it may well be just as beneficial as green tea to promote weight loss and cardiovascular health by reducing high blood pressure and cholesterol.
