Tips for Tea Connoisseurs
Black Forest is a unique black tea from Lao Mountain in Shangdong Province, a northeastern Chinese Province on the Yellow Sea, known for its Taoist and Confucianist heritage. The region is also well-known for its striking natural beauty, mineral rich soil and sweet spring water, which provide an ideal habitat for tea bushes.
Black Forest, masterfully crafted from the early spring harvest of carefully grown tender tea leaves and buds on the slopes of Lao Mountain, offers an indulgent liquor that harmoniously mingles dark chocolaty (truffles) and fruity (plum, cherry) flavours. The consonance between the two dominant flavours in the liquor is so unique and distinctive, evocative of rich and decadent Black Forest Cake - voilà, we named this fine black tea as "Black Forest"!
It goes without saying that our Black Forest black tea will make a wonderful companion for any kinds of chocolate based dessert. You may well also find it ideal as a healthy, non-alcoholic digestif to replace your tawny port.
Black tea is known to be just as beneficial as green tea for our health and well-being. A recent study indicates several health benefits of black tea by demonstrating that flavonoids found in black tea boost the immune system to prevent flu and other viral infection and encourage the growth of healthy microorganism in the liver to boost energy metabolism and weight loss.
